(a) Issuing of Registration Certificates for EU/EEA/Swiss Confederation citizens and Residence Cards to members of their families who are not citizens of the European Union/EEA/Swiss Confederation.
(b) Handling applications for entry and residence of third country nationals who are family members of a Romanian citizen and issuing of the relevant permits.
(c) Issuing of residence permits to third country nationals who are long term residents.
(d) Issuing of Immigration Permits.
(e) Handling applications for family reunification and issuing of entry and residence permits for family members of non-EU/EEA/Swiss confederation family members.
(f) Handling applications for entry of third country nationals who wish to enter in Romania as visitors (other than parents).
(g) Handling applications for entry and residence of third country nationals for the purposes of employment (general employment, domestic employment, employment at a foreign company etc) and issuing of the relevant permits.
(h) Handling applications for entry and residence of third country nationals for studying purposes and issuing of the relevant permits.
(i) Issuance of residence permits to third country nationals who are holders of an international protection status (only applicable to Ukrainians, for the refugees and international protection persons other than Ukrainians – Refugee Centres).
(j) Handling applications for entry and residence for other purposes (research, volunteer service, etc) and issuing of the relevant permits.
(k) Imposing of administrative fines on carriers for illegal aspects.
(l) Imposing of administrative fines on employers who illegally employ foreign students and imposing of such fines to the students illegally employed.

The Romanian National Council for Refugees (CNRR) is a non-governmental organization, whose mission it is to promote and defend through all legal means human rights in general, and migrants, refugees and asylum seekers’ rights particularly.
CNRR work is focused on:
- Offering specialized legal counselling for registered asylum seekers in all Reception Centres and for those living in other locations, including transit areas and at the border crossing points.

- Providing counselling and specialized assistance for migrants that are taken in public custody.
- Organizing roundtables, seminars and debates for stakeholders in the field of migration, integration and asylum.
